A relaxing experience on the southern side of the Etna volcano, outside the usual tourist itineraries, led by a Trekking Instructor

Thanks to the Etna Trekking Excursion experience you will be able to admire the unique landscapes of Etna, passing through old lava flows that mother Etna gave us, pine and larch forests and the suggestive lava flow caves.

A trekking guide will accompany you on this experience, who you will meet at our meeting point in Catania.

This is the Trekking experience suitable for everyone, with an itinerary that allows various possibilities of customization, based on your technical and physical abilities, within the limit of 2 hours and thirty minutes foreseen for the experience, and all at a single price.

This Trekking experience does not include a visit to the Summit craters.

Length: minimum 3 km max 6/7 km based on the variants used
Route: Medium/Easy 1 or 2 stars based on the variants used
Period: All year round depending on the snow on the paths

We recommend: Technical/sports clothing suitable for trekking, trekking/tennis shoes, socks, gloves, hat, sunglasses, sun cream (summer period).
In the summer period we recommend bringing additional water (at least 2 liters), snacks or fruit.

Starting from Piano Vetore (Etna South) from an altitude of around 1800m, we will head towards Monte Nero degli Zappini crossing an uphill sandy path and passing the inevitable stop at the Santa Barbara cave, a characteristic cannon stone.

Once you arrive under Monte Nero (Etna South), based on your physical capabilities, your Trekking instructor Rossella will show you the various alternatives to continue the Etna Trekking Excursion experience in complete relaxation and safety.

The circular tour will end in Piano Vetore, same place as the starting point.

This excursion is not suitable:
